Four new libraries to join LMxAC in June!

Edison, NJ – LMxAC is pleased to announce that four new libraries will be joining our consortium in June, further expanding our network of resources and services for library patrons. We are thrilled to welcome Garwood Free Public Library, Hillside Public Library, Rahway Public Library, and Union Public Library to our community.

Thanks to the Library Shared Service Grant from Union County, funding was available to offset the initial expense of joining our consortium. These new member libraries bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and resources, and will help to enhance the range of materials and programs available to all members. As a result, patrons of LMxAC and these four new libraries will have access to an even wider selection of books, movies, music, and other materials.

“We are excited to welcome these new libraries to our consortium,” said Eric Lozauskas, Executive Director at LMxAC. “By joining LMxAC they are expanding their collections to over 3.5 million items, searchable from a brand new online catalog that will be launching at the same time. We can’t wait for their patrons to experience all of the benefits that come from being a member of our consortium.”

Beyond expanding our collections, the addition of these four new libraries also reflects the continued growth and success of LMxAC: we’ve added an additional 5 new members over the past two years.  As we continue to grow, we are dedicated to providing the best quality of service possible.
