Over the next few months, you’ll see LMxAC transform into STELLA. Our members are a geographically diverse set of libraries in throughout Middlesex, Union and Monmouth counties, working together to provide exceptional collections, programs, and services to their patrons.

What does STELLA provide?
- Shared library services
- Increased access to 3.5 million items, 43 member libraries and 50+ locations
- Digital collections including eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines
Why a new name?
- We’re expanding, and have member libraries throughout Middlesex, Union and Monmouth counties
- We’re improving with a brand new system and online catalog, along with an updated library app
- Our new name is easier to remember!
Here’s what you can expect:
- A new website, coming fall 2024: StellaNJ.org
- The “LMxPress Plus” app will become the “STELLA” app. Current users will not need to download anything new—the app will upgrade to the newest version automatically.
- Email communications about automatic renewals, holds that are ready for pickup, late notices and more will come from STELLA
- If you utilize the phone notification system, future calls will come from STELLA
- Starting 6/20/2024, when signing in to Libby for eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines, you will search for STELLA to locate your home library

LMxAC is going through a rebranding to modernize and better represent its member libraries. Over the past few years the number of members has grown to 43, and the service area has expanded beyond Middlesex county into Union and Monmouth counties. Combined, the group of libraries have over 3.5 million physical items available for their patrons plus digital content in the form of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and streaming video services.
